 The first avatars that I ever made (way back in April of 2002) - they were very sinmple and I quickly learnt the fun of the eraser brush. Soon I started entering avatar contests. Soon I discovered how to do borders and colourising as well as adding 'swirly things'.  After a while I found that the best picture didn't need much work to make it a great avatar, for example the Wolverine one - it is the exposition that won me the avatar contest. I also discovered how to make things nice and swirly and soft and how to use backgrounds to my full advantage.  Next 'leap' forward is the use of complex but delicate symbols to enhance the avatars. Soon I became a pro at mixing together images, colours, brushes and composition to get my avatars to work. So what's my next big leap forward? You'll just have to watch and see ;) |
